This is an all black forrest desk pet. The slip on this bubbled nicely in the glaze firing, see last pic for details :)

From sturdy, high-fire B-mix clay. Dense, Rugged and Vigorous. 
This one measures about 3" tall to the spikes by about 2.75" diameter.
